Squarespace, Wix, WordPress

Step-by-step for the three platforms operators ask about most.

Step-by-step for the three website builders we're asked about most. Your Innkept code is the same on every one. These guides just show where to paste it.

Squarespace (7.1 and later)

  1. Open the page where you want the booking form. Most venues add a new page called Book or Get a quote.
  2. Click Edit, then Add Block.
  3. Choose Code and put the block where you want the form.
  4. Paste your Innkept code from the dashboard.
  5. Leave Display source off, so visitors don't see the code itself.
  6. Click Apply, then Save.
  7. Preview the page. The form should appear within a second.

Squarespace only offers Code blocks on its Business plan and above. On the Personal plan, upgrade your Squarespace plan first, or try Squarespace's Embed block, which is less reliable.

Wix

  1. Open the page in the Wix editor.
  2. Click Add Elements, then Embed Code → Embed HTML.
  3. Drop the box onto the page and size it to roughly the space you want the form to take.
  4. Choose Code, paste your Innkept code and click Update.
  5. Publish the page.

Wix shows embedded code in a box with a fixed height. Make it tall enough for the longest step, around 700 to 900 pixels. If the box is too short, guests will have to scroll inside it.

WordPress

There are two ways in, depending on which editor your site uses.

Block editor

  1. Open the page in the block editor.
  2. Add a Custom HTML block.
  3. Paste your Innkept code, save and preview.

Classic editor

  1. Open the page and switch to the Text tab (not Visual).
  2. Paste your Innkept code where you want the form.
  3. Update the page.

If the code shows up as text

Some WordPress themes and security plugins remove code from pages. If you see the code itself on the page instead of the form, install the Code Snippets plugin and add your Innkept code there instead, or ask your web person to add it to the page template.

Other website builders

Anything that lets you paste code into a page will work: Webflow, Ghost, Shopify, Framer, Carrd or a custom-built site. The form keeps its own look, so it won't clash with your site's design.
