Adds each guest to your Mailchimp audience, tagged innkept-lead, with
their first name, last name and phone number.
Connecting
The easy way: open Integrations, click Connect next to Mailchimp, then Connect Mailchimp. Sign in to your own Mailchimp account and approve access, then enter your audience ID.
If that option isn't there, use an API key (still your own account):
- In Mailchimp, go to Account → Extras → API keys and create a key. It ends in something like
-us21; copy the whole thing. - Find your audience ID under Audience → Settings → Audience name and defaults.
- Paste both into Innkept.
Marketing permission: please read
Under UK law, sending an enquiry is not permission to send marketing emails. So:
- Guests who ticked your marketing opt-in on the booking form are added as subscribed, so you can include them in campaigns.
- Everyone else is added as transactional. You can email them about their enquiry, but they're not on your marketing list.
If someone enquires again, their existing entry is updated, with no duplicates. Innkept never unsubscribes anyone who's already subscribed.
