Five steps. By the end you'll have a booking form on your website and a test lead in your dashboard. You won't need a card.
1. Create your account
Sign up at innkept.co.uk/register. We'll ask for your name, email, a password and the name of your venue or catering business. Every new account gets a 30-day free trial of the whole product, for one venue and up to 5 leads a month. That's enough to see real enquiries come in from your own site before you pay anything.
We'll email you a link to confirm your address. Click it and you're in.
2. Add your venue
Open Locations and click New location. The essentials:
- Venue name, what guests will see, e.g. "Fettlewood Barn".
- Address, shown on the proposal.
- Min and max capacity, the guest numbers you can take.
- Event types you cover, such as weddings, corporate events or private dining.
If you only have one venue, guests won't be asked to choose one.
3. Add something to sell
The booking form needs at least one thing to price. The quickest start:
- Products → New product. Add your hire fee with the category Venue hire, charged as a Flat fee.
- Menus → New menu. Give it a name, such as "Wedding feast", and add a few dishes priced Per guest.
Want to see a finished example first? Try the live demo. It runs the whole guest journey for an invented venue, Fettlewood Barn.
4. Put the booking form on your website
Your dashboard home shows your Innkept code. You'll also find it on the Widget page under Add to site. It looks like this:
<div id="innkept-quote"></div>
<script
src="https://innkept.co.uk/embed/v1/loader.js"
data-key="pk_live_xxx"
async></script>
Paste it on the page where you want the form, usually a Book or Enquire page. The form fills the width of wherever you put it. Step-by-step guides for Squarespace, Wix and WordPress.
5. Send yourself a test enquiry
Open the page on your site, or use Preview this form under Add to site on the Widget page. Go through the form with your own email: pick a date a few months out, choose a menu, fill in your details.
Within a few seconds you'll see:
- A new lead in Leads, marked New.
- A new quote in Quotes, with every line, the VAT and the total.
- A link to the proposal. Open it to see exactly what your guest sees.
Test enquiries count towards the trial's 5 leads a month, so one or two is plenty.
